Finding flexible, quality gap care is a challenge.

We all know that taking a break from formal schooling is good for a child's well-being. At the same time, many families are still looking for care during these gaps in the school year to provide their children with enrichment and educational experiences. This can cause frustration trying to find a quality, affordable option that also engages their children off screens, with time outdoors, and in meaningful activities and play with peers.

SHORTER DAYS + PART-TIME SUMMER CAMPS

Trained, experienced staff will always be leading and providing care in a small setting with low camper-teacher ratio.

Each camp will offer a variety of art and play-based activities to enrich your child's learning.

Your child will love our engaging experiments and design challenges that build problem-solving and collaborative skills.

We offer a shorter day for camp, 10:00-3:00, Monday through Thursday, for a flexible, enriching experience.

JULY 13-16

🏰 Medieval Quest Camp

Knights, Castles, and Dragon Adventures

Step into the Middle Ages! Kids will train as knights and create shields with personal coats of arms, build castles and catapults, embark on dragon quests solving puzzles and challenges, and celebrate at a royal feast with games, medieval art, and engaging books that bring history to life!

JULY 20-23

🐺 Wildlife Rescue Camp

Save Animals and Restore Habitats

Become a conservation hero! Kids will explore three unique ecosystems—rainforest, ocean, and desert—as they design rescue tools and habitat structures, learn about amazing animal adaptations, and create wildlife art. We will play active games, dive into inspiring books about our planet's creatures, and celebrate as Habitat Heroes through creativity and hands-on fun! (Splash Day on Thursday 7/23!)

• $300 for two-week bundle

• July 13-16 and July 20-23

• Monday-Thursday 10:00-3:00

• No additional costs

• Deposit of $125 due at registration (non-refundable)

• Remainder of $175 due 3 weeks prior to start of camp (we will email reminders!)

• $20 Late Fee will apply if balance is not paid by the due date

Emily Barnitz, Camp Co-Director

During her 16 years as a certified educator, Ms. Emily also has served as a children's museum manager, overseeing summer and holiday camps and training staff. She understands the importance of providing an engaging, play-based, and safe camp experience, as well as maintaining clear and helpful communication with parents. She is happy to answer any questions you may have about our programs.

Joey Barnitz, Camp Co-Director

Mr. Joey (a.k.a. Coach Barnitz) has worked as a summer camp director for four years, in addition to 18 years as a certified teacher, with experience leading K-12 students. He has coached hundreds of children as a basketball, track and field, and P.E. coach. He is ready to make this a summer full of fun, team-building activities for our campers.

Meet Our Camp Directors

With over 30 years of combined teaching experience, we have worked with children ages K-12 in classroom, camp, and coaching contexts. As a couple, we have run a creative summer camp overseas together, and are happy to launch Zoe Camps to provide a high-quality gap care option for your family in New Orleans!

Zoe Adventure Camps has led enriching summer camps since 2024, providing a fun-filled creative day camp for children, in Algiers, New Orleans. We are thrilled to offer exciting camps again for summer 2026!

Our STEAM-themed camps are safe, play-based, and designed to be affordable for families, while also providing high-quality care that gives each child personalized attention.
