Have you been frustrated by an education program where:
Your child feels burned out rather than inspired to learn?
Being outside and time for play is limited?
Tests and grades seem more important than literature, creative arts, and hands-on learning?

As a parent, are you:
Interested in homeschooling, but overwhelmed by the thought of doing it all on your own?
Currently homeschooling, but seeking more balance and a like-minded support system?
Longing to provide an unhurried childhood and collaborative learning for your family?
At Zoe Learning House, we are right there with you.
TAILORED TO YOUR CHILD'S LEVEL
LIVING BOOKS & CREATIVE ARTS
COLLABORATIVE LEARNING
CURRICULUM SUPPORT
Enriching the whole child,
A LOVING, CHRISTIAN ATMOSPHERE
TIME OUTSIDE
We believe in sharing rich literature and integrating visual arts, theater, music, and movement in order to make learning come alive.
Your child will build confidence and joy as their learning is designed to their personal mastery level in reading, math, and writing.
Our targeted groups and family-style project time, daily class meetings and social-emotional learning build teamwork and kindness.
We provide personal evaluations to direct your curriculum purchase, as well as Weekly Learning Plans with paced work in all subjects that are designed to be meaningful and time-efficient.
We believe every person is born with inherent worth given by God, and seek to model and point children to integrity, empathy, and courage in a Christian environment.
We understand how beneficial time outdoors is for human well-being, in all types of weather whenever possible. Every day we will aim for 1-2 hours of time outside for learning, eating, and free play.

Pillars of our K-4th Hybrid Academy
partnering with families.
A pattern of
putting children first
At Zoe Learning House, we have a demonstrated history of serving children and families. Our founder and lead teacher, Emily Barnitz, has worked as a certified elementary and early childhood educator for 14 years in public, international, and museum roles.
She has directly taught over 650 children in the classroom, in addition to mentoring and training other teachers. Mrs. Barnitz has developed responsive practices that build community and connection with her students. She considers it a true honor to partner with families to help each child thrive as who they were created to be.

Bringing together the best of homeschool and private education
At Zoe Learning House, we know you want your child to be prepared for their future, but not at the expense of their childhood. A small, supportive learning environment that provides personal attention has the power to help your child shine in their strengths, receive support at their own pace, pursue meaningful projects, and develop as a lifelong learner–with time and space for childhood wonder. Traditional schooling options may not always be the best fit for each family or child, causing feelings of burnout or just trying to get a good grade. We believe every child has an innate desire to learn, and that education should inspire and nurture their development.

We understand the challenge of navigating the educational landscape for your child, and want you to know you are not alone. This is why we designed a learning option that is hands-on, creative, and inspiring, based on a philosophy that honors the personhood and brilliance of each child, while partnering with families. Welcome to the balance between the freedom of homeschool and the community and support of a private school.
